Center for Disease Control and Prevention - Provides data on instances of violence and contains resources on violence prevention. Children’s Defense Fund - Works to demand elected officials protect children not guns by advocating for common sense gun safety and gun violence prevention measures. Everytown for Gun Safety - Works to end gun violence and build safer communities. Giffords - Works to tackle America’s gun violence crisis by shifting culture, changing policy, and challenging injustice. March for Our Lives - Empowers youth to fight for gun violence prevention policies. Sandy Hook Promise - Aims to create a culture engaged in preventing shootings, violence, and other harmful acts in school. Survivors Empowered - A national network for survivors by survivors. Provides support and referrals to services to survivors of violence, and connects them to a support network of other survivors in their area. Team Enough Executive Council - Led by students that have been affected by gun violence and are acting to make change by choosing a congress that will pass a law to reduce shootings. The Jessi Ghawi Memorial Scholarship - $5,000 merit scholarship for a graduating high school senior or non-graduating college student who’s a survivor of gun violence or who has lost an immediate family member to gun violence. Crime Victim Compensation - Helps crime victims and their immediate families with the financial costs of crime. |
